Stoneyfield blogs

Toby Bloomberg's profile of Stoneyfield Yoghurt's Chief Blogger, Christine Halvorson, is a concise illustration of blogging as an effective way to stay connected with customers.

Although Halvorson maintains four Stoneyfield blogs, this is her first lesson:
Have something to say! Don’t do it because everybody’s doing it and you feel you have to.

Here is a snippet from Diva Marketing's take on blog strategy for business marketing:

Yes, we believe that blogs are exciting, powerful marketing tools. Yes, we believe in the Trinity of Blogs: Honesty. Transparency. Passion.
We also believe that to be effective, business/marketing blogs must integrate into your marketing plan. Blogs must support your brand as well as, your positioning.

Hey, there--Christine Halvorson here of the Stonyfield Farm blogs. Fun to see you mention us.

Just two points:
1) We're down to 2 blogs at Stonyfield, just so we could give them our full attention
(see them by clicking from the homepage stonyfield.com)--but do go check out our "Moo-vie News"--videos from the cows. They're hilarious and educational!

and

2)I stand by my statement--don't blog because you think you should or because everyone else is doing it. Blog because you have something to say--as a company--and you want to say it often, clearly and (go Toby!) transparently!
