Quantum Computing
According to Nature.com, a Canadian firm, D-Wave Systems, Inc., has built what it claims is the first fully functional quantum computer and has used it to solve a number of simple problems.
From Wired, "independent quantum computing researchers said they are dubious of some of the claims made by D-Wave Systems Inc. because the privately held Canadian company has not yet submitted its findings for peer review".
