F2C Conference Update

Streaming video from the F2C conference will continue tomorrow.

Yochai Benkler, author of The Wealth of Networks, pointed to individual capacity moving from the perifery to the core, and commons-based production shifting authority from the center to the individual capacity to act. This hardly does his complex presentation justice - the book is available as pdf. His 2001 white paper, Property, Commons, and the First Amendment: Towards a Core Common Infrastructure, inspired several speakers, including panelist lc claffy.

Although there were audio issues for online participants, Cory Ondrejk's talk on Second Life was fascinating, and included the surprise that older folks get SL faster - faster than expected and faster than younger people already familiar with the virtual gaming worlds.

If the talks or slides are made available when the conference ends, we will have links here.
