Virginia joins Arizona, California and Utah in partnering with Google.

Through the partnership, Google and state employees have created a Sitemap protocol, which allows Web site owners to provide more of its site content to Internet search engines. In addition, the search tool on the state portal has been updated. Citizens can now use the search portal on Virginia.gov to search for information from local, state and federal governments.
